We Didn't Leave America Because We Hated It. We Left Because We Wanted Something Different.
At one time in life, the American dream meant family, home ownership, financial security, and freedom.
Today, for many people, that dream feels further away than ever.
Long work hours. Rising costs. Financial pressure. Stress. Division. The constant feeling that you're working harder just to stay in the same place.
For us, we reached a point where we had to ask an honest question:
What if freedom isn't about making a better life where we are? What if it's about having the courage to build a life somewhere new?
That question changed everything.
Why "Leaving the Plantation"?
The title is a metaphor.
It's about leaving behind systems, expectations, and ways of thinking that no longer align with the life we want to build.
For us, "the plantation" represents anything that keeps people trapped in cycles of survival instead of allowing them to thrive.
This journey isn't about escaping responsibility.
It isn't about criticizing everyone who chooses to stay.
And it certainly isn't about telling others what they should do.
It's about asking a simple question:
What does freedom really look like?
